Sarah is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) and a member of the Dietitians Association of Australia. Following a year of working overseas, she is also qualified to practice in New Zealand as a Registered Dietitian (RD). She completed a Masters degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, and a Bachelor of Health Sciences at Flinders University.
Sarah feels there is no ‘one size fits all approach’ for clients to achieve good health and nutrition:
“I strongly believe in a holistic approach to health where weight is not the focus. Every person is different. I strive to work in partnership with clients to develop positive health behaviours by providing practical dietary/lifestyle recommendations, education and ongoing support in a non-judgemental setting. Whether the client is through achieving specific goals or self-management of their health condition(s); I am extremely passionate about empowering clients to become the best version of themselves.”
Over four years of clinical practice, Sarah has worked in a number of locations across Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines. While she has experience in a broad range of clinical conditions, her areas of interest include:
Weight management including overweight and malnutrition.
Nutrition for pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Healthy eating for children and youth.
Chronic condition management such as Diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure
Gastrointestinal health including irritable bowel syndrome and food intolerances/allergies
Support for individuals surrounding good nutrition and healthy eating
